ALU-CC – Side Table Made of 3 mm Aluminium

A side table made of 3 mm aluminium, consisting of three precisely shaped parts that interlock with millimetre precision.

The process began with the search for a clear formal language. From the design, a functional piece gradually emerged—accompanied by many challenges in implementation and several prototypes until the geometry became feasible.

From idea to finished object, it was a long development process: from material selection to building my own press and finally shaping the aluminium. Even specialised metal workshops failed to achieve this geometry. With a self-developed device, I finally succeeded in precisely implementing the design.

Each piece is handcrafted. Each series is deliberately limited and produced only in small quantities.

Available colours: Clear-coated aluminium, Red, Black, Brushed aluminium.
